Dragon Ball

The Turtle Hermit (Kame Sennin) gives Goku a present -- Kinto'un. He tries to show how to get on the special cloud, saying "Unless you're pure of heart, it'll never even let you on!" (心が純粋でなければ、これはお前を乗せようとすらしないよ)

... but the hermit fails to get on, and the turtle says "Surely it's defective." (きっと欠陥品なんですよ)　

Now Goku's turn. He says "Let me try" (おらにもやらせて) , and he does get on the cloud with no problem.
